Hello, name is Delmar Phanenhour, I am a Husband, Dad and a Popa. I live in a small town in the Ottawa Valley with my wife Anita.

I have Stage 5 Polycystic Kidney Disease. My kidneys are functioning at a very low level and a transplant will help me regain my health and quality of life.

We are making an URGENT appeal for a Living Kidney Donor.

Why we are asking publically

My Family Doctor and Nephrologist set a goal, that as I approached the need for Dialysis, I would begin the process to find a Living Kidney Donor. I now find myself in this position.

In Ontario, it's up to the individual to find a Living Kidney Donor. This has proven to be a very difficult process, as we have already been searching actively for a year and a half. Family members are not an option, as my disease is hereditary.

My Kidney function is already at Stage 5, meaning that I only have 13% of kidney function. Time, before having to go on Dialysis is getting desperately short.

My Blood Type is O and that would be the ideal donor blood type. If someone with another blood type is found, there is still an option.

The Paired Donor Program would allow someone with a different blood type to donate to someone with the same blood type,on my behalf, and the next O would come to me.
